Pashtuns are tribal people populating territories of modern Afghanistan and Pakistan. Tribes of Lewani, Benyamin, Afridi, Shinwari and others have an oral tradition passed from generation to generation that they belong to the people of Israel (Bene Israel), meaning they descended from our father Yaakov.

Former Afghan king once asked Afghan Jews which tribe they belonged to, and when they answered that they didn't know the king proudly said that the Pashtuns do, and that the king himself descends from king Shaul, tribe of Benyamin.
