Amishav for the Dispersed of Israel is an Israeli non-profit organization dedicated to reconnecting with the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel, with a primary focus on the Pashtun people of Afghanistan. The Pashtuns are a tribal people of Central Asia who hold an ancient tradition of descent from Yaaqov Avinu (Jacob our father).

In the video below, Zareef, a Pashtun human rights activist from Afghanistan and a proud representative of Bani Israel, shares how he first learned of his Israelite origins and what that heritage means to him today

Currently we are

Partnering with
like-minded people

We are honored to partner with Mr. Hewad Nabi, MWM, B.Sc. Through his research into the Israelite origins of the Pashtun people, Mr. Nabi works tirelessly to promote closer relations between Israelis and Pashtuns. Mr. Hewad is also the founder of the Israeli Pashtuns website.

Teaching the Israelite tradition

We are often approached by Pashtuns wanting to explore the history and traditions of our ancestors. To help them uncover their origins, we created a Torah course in Pashto available here and on our YouTube channel. You can also find a carefully translated ancient Israelite prayer in Pashto by clicking here.

Working with the anousim of Spain and Portugal

Amishav is delighted to join forces with Ezra L'Anousim to help modern Crypto-Jews and descendants of Spanish Inquisition victims reconnect with their heritage. We are in continuous contact with Jewish communities across the globe ready to guide and educate those rediscovering their lineage.

Through our collaboration with prominent Orthodox Rabbis and Jewish Courts, we help facilitate vital religious services, such as conversion or formal processes of return, alongside Torah learning and community integration. If you have proof of Jewish ancestry and are ready to return to the faith of your fathers, reach out to us here.

Exploring the art of diplomacy

At Amishav, we envision a future where Afghanistan and Israel enjoy strong diplomatic relations. By leveraging social media, we are changing the narrative, improving Israel's image among Afghans, and directly countering antisemitic propaganda. We stand by a simple truth: Jews and Afghans were never enemies.

And say to them, So says the Lord God: Behold I will take the children of Israel from among the nations where they have gone, and I will gather them from every side, and I will bring them to their land. And I will make them into one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel, and one king shall be to them all as a king; and they shall no longer be two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms anymore. And they shall no longer defile themselves with their idols, with their detestable things, or with all their transgressions, and I will save them from all their habitations in which they have sinned, and I will purify them, and they shall be to Me as a people, and I will be to them as a God.
